PZL P11
Plane type & model Monoplane fighters (P-11c) Direct developing of P.7 fighter, the model P.11 exploited the advantages given by the Bristol Mercury engine as better performances and better visibility. The positive testings leaded to the series production of the plane for the Polish aeronautics as the P.11A , even if the first 50 exemplars were built in the P.11B version for the exportation in Rumania. The major part of the production was the P.11C model, while in Rumania it was built a certain number of P.11F. This plane was succesfully used to counter the German attack in 1939 and reported the shooting down of 126 enemy planes. Another version (P.11G) with more powerful engine and 4 cannons, was never consigned due to the Nazis invasion.
