Projected by Frantisek Novotny as a development of Avia B.34 , the model B.534 was the most important plane built in Cekoslovakia before the WW2. Fixed-gear biplane , it had a closed cockpit and it was ordered by Cekoslovakian Air Force in 1934. It was also exported in Greece and Jugoslavia. In 1939-40 the plane was obsolete and was relegated to training purposes in German, Bulgarian and Slovakian air forces. Some exemplars were modified to make some aircraft carrier tests with the Graf Zeppelin (see the photo below) |
