Aichi B7A Ryusei
Plane type & model Torpedo bomber (B7A2) The project B7A was started on 1941, in the period when the naval Japanese air force requested a specify on a new torpedo and dive bomber with high speeds and long range capaibilities and a payload of 500 Kg. The first prototype presented was the AM-23, had a conventional entirely metallic structure. Then thy were completed 9 prototypes B7A1. The developing was very long and problematic, so the series production began only in 1944. Nicknamed by the Allies as Grace, the Ryusei was a good plane for its role but the limitated number of planes built (114 in total) and the lack of carriers in the last period of the war by the Japanese halved greatly his potential.
