Designed in 1935 to fullfill a specify from the Dutch Navy, the DO24 was built in Switzerland and Holland until the beginning of WWII. The plane was then evalutated and adopted by the Luftwaffe, reactivating the production in Holland and beginning a new one in France on the SNCA. After the liberation France built other 22 exemplars that assigned to its Naval Aviation. Also Spain recieved 12 DO24-T , that were used as patrols in the Mediterranean. |
