Focke Wulf FW44 Stieglitz
Plane type & model Biplane trainer (FW44C) Biplane with wooden wings and metallic tubes fuselage, the Focke Wulf FW44 is remembered as an excellent aerobatic plane, built by the factory in the largest number after the FW-190. Characterised in the initial developments by serious manouverability problems, the project , with Siemens Sh.14A engine , was reviewed by Kurt Tank and after an intense developing work it demonstrated to be optimal.
