Macchi MC200 Saetta
|
||
| Plane type & model | Monoplane fighter (MC 200) | Well suited in manouverability, stableness and dive capabilities , the MC 200 performed not very well in velocity and in the weapons. But it fought admireably on all fronts it was present. Take notice that the cockpit, initially fully closed, was later reopened as the desire of italian pilots who disliked the lack of air sensation with the older cockpit. When the MC 202 Folgore began to enter the scene , the Saetta was declassed to the role of fighter-bomber. |
